Meet our Veterinarians

Ben Korver, DVM

Practice Owner

Dr. Ben Korver purchased Norwalk Veterinary Clinic in 2026, bringing with him a deep-rooted passion for animal care and community. He grew up in northwest Iowa on his family farm, where he spent his early years raising cattle and hogs—an experience that shaped his lifelong connection to animals. Dr. Ben earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Dordt University before graduating from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Since then, he has cared for a wide variety of animals, both large and small. While he enjoys working with all species, his greatest passion lies in building meaningful relationships with the families he serves. As the new owner, Dr. Ben is dedicated to continuing the client-centered care that the practice has long been known for. He is looking forward to meeting current clients and growing the practice in order to serve others in the community. In his time away from the clinic, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and three kids, as well as caring for his own critters at home- 2 dogs (Buck and Bogey), 2 cats (Reba and Poppy), and 13 chickens.

Ellen

Client Service Representative

A familiar face to many clients, Ellen has been a dedicated employee of Norwalk Veterinary Clinic for 15 years. With her warm, welcoming personality, Ellen is loved by many and we are so grateful to have her as a core member of our team. Ellen's favorite thing about working at NVC is helping clients help their pets. In her free time, Ellen enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and walking. She has one pet of her own at home- a sweet, loveable dog named Murphy.

Tauri

Veterinary Assistant

Tauri is a veterinary assistant who brings a wealth of talent from her diverse experience within the field of veterinary medicine. But apart from her skills, we love Tauri for her bubbly personality and positivity that she brings to the team. Her favorite part about working for NVC is building strong, lasting relationships with our clients and their beloved pets. Outside of work, Tauri enjoys reading, kayaking, home improvement projects, cooking, and spending time with her fiance, friends and family. She has 2 dogs (Odin and Bailey) and one kitty (Vinny).

Conner

Veterinary Assistant/Intern

Conner is a student at Central College and has worked as a veterinary assistant at Norwalk Veterinary Clinic for the past two summers. His eagerness to learn and enthusiasm for helping others makes him a valued member of the team and we enjoy having him on board during his busy summer breaks. When he’s not studying or working at the clinic, Conner enjoys running and is a talented student athlete on Central College’s track and cross country teams. Conner has three pets of his own at home- two dogs (Remi & Dixie) and one three-legged cat (Niko).
